The sixth annual Mid-Atlantic Algebra, Geometry, and Combinatorics (MAAGC) workshop will be held Friday, May 3 & Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Drexel University in Philadelphia. Funding is available for regional travel and housing. Some funding is also available for child care. The conference is supported by a National Science Foundation grant and a Mellon Tri-College Roots grant. Students and postdocs are particularly encouraged to apply to participate in the poster session. If total funding requests exceed available funds, priority will be given to junior participants presenting posters.
For all attendees, please register as soon as possible at the conference webpage (registration is free).
For those applying for funding, the deadline is March 25, 2019.
The confirmed speakers are:
*David Anderson (Ohio State)
*Karola Meszaros (Cornell)
*Vic Reiner (Minnesota)
*Michelle Wachs (Miami)
The workshop will consist of an early-arrivals talk on Friday afternoon and three hour-long talks on Saturday, allowing plenty of time for informal discussions, followed by a poster session and reception. In addition, there will be a panel discussion titled “Uncovering the secret menu – tips and resources you wish you had known earlier in your career.”
More details about registration, funding, applying for the poster session, the schedule, housing, and other information can be found on the conference website http://maagc.info/philadelphia-2019.
